Starship Breakers: Alpha - Sunofes release v0.6.0–0.6.1
We’ve resubmitted Starship Breakers: Alpha for the Sunofes jam 2025!
The new demo includes 1 new scene (for a total of 10 out of 13) and 1 new puzzle (the last one), as well as puzzle UI improvements.
I’m really happy to finally introduce the new puzzle. If you explored every room, it should be quite easy, but… what will happen if you manage to solve it without using every resource available?
Unfortunately, this version doesn’t have all branches implemented, still features prototype art and above all doesn’t have the last 3 scenes.
Since I quickly made a patch to add missing credits, there are two versions v0.5.0 (Aug 30) and v0.5.1 (Sept 1), but differences are minor, so I just made the latter available on itch in the sunofes-jam channel.

- Puzzle 1: Added extra step to retrieve tokens
- Puzzle 1: Improve interactions by allowing to select two tokens and swap them, or move a token back to pool (by either selecting pool or using middle-click). This new system is reused in Puzzle 2.

- Saving and Loading into/out of a puzzle will not completely break the game (will load/unload scenes and enter a valid state), but it will still not restore the state of a specific puzzle
Known issues:
- All the issues from v0.4 and v0.5, except avatar texture issues
- Save/Load doesn’t restore a specific puzzle’s state (for the same reason, we disable rollback entirely during puzzles)
- It’s not clear that player must close panel to confirm solution in Puzzle 1
- Puzzle 2 completion time in Staff Roll is always 0:00
